Various | The Parish of Morven is in the Presbytery of Mull and Synod of Argyll, Patrore the Duke of Argyle, It is bounded on the North by the Parish of Ardnamurchan, on the South and West by the Sound of Mull and on the East by the Parish of Lismore and Appin (Det) [Detached] The Parish of Morven contains about ___ statute acres There are no detached portions of the Parish of Morven in this or any other County, neither are there detached portions of any other Parish within its limits The soil in general is poor and light and in some places intermixed with gravel, about 4000 acres are in tillage about the same number under wood, principally along the side of Loch Sunart, the remainder of the Parish is a sheep walk or waste. |
