Various The Parish of Lismore and Appin is in the Presbytery of Lorn and Synod of Argyll, It is bounded on the North by the County of Inverness, on the East by the Parish of Glenorchy
and Innishail, on the South by the Parish [of] Ardchattan, on the West by the Parish of Morven, This portion of the Parish is detached from the principal part by Loch Linnhe, The Parish of Lismore and Appin (det [detached]) is situated in the County of Argyll and on the West side of the Parish and contains about 22730 statute Acres, There are no detached portions of the Parish of Lismore and Appin in this or any other County neither are there detached portions of any other Parish within its limits, The Parish Church is not in this part of the Parish, but there is a Chapel of Ease a little to the East of Kingairloch, With the exception of a small portion near Kingairloch the whole of the Detached portion of the Parish is Covered with Rocks & Ravines some of which are inaccessible
