053 The ruins of an ancient building situated on a rocky point on the east coast of the Sound of Mull, half a mile South by west of Killundine - It is sometimes called "Killundine Castle", but its date of erection cannot be ascertained. "Castle of Killundine is said to have been used as a hunting lodge by the feudal occupants of the opposite Castle of Aross, and from this circumstance is Known as Caisteal nan Con." Extract from New Statistical Account. English meaning, Castle of the Dogs.
