128 | A block of what is commonly known as plum pudding stone about 8 feet high situated about 100 yards N.E. [North East] of Tobar Choluim-chille. The top of it projects outwards, towards the south, about 3 feet, sufficiently to protect any one standing underneath from rain, or the rays of the sun while in the south. The tradition relating to it is that was erected by St. [Saint] Columba, and that he used to preach and dispense sacred rites from underneath the projecting portion of the stone. |
