A block of whinstone about 6½ feet high situated on the highest point of a knoll a short distance S.W [South West] of Garvard Farm, Called Cnoc Eidrigean. It is said to be an ancient standing stone. About 35 years ago this stone was either knocked down, or fell, and lay for a few years on the side of the knoll, when it was re-erected by Capt. [Captain] Stuart of Ardskinnish who was the Landsteward for Colonsay & Oronsay. |
