139 A superior stone and slated farm house and offices, situate about 2 miles from Ford. The property of H. Bruce Esq of Ederline.

139 Between the stream and Fincharn farm house are the remains of a Cairn. It is now nearly level. Mr Laurie one of the authorities states that it was used as a place of Burial 80 years ago.

139 On a point of Land jutting into Loch Awe about 1/4 of a mile north west of Fincharn farm house stand the remains of Fincharn Castle. It would appear to have been a place of some strength, being built on a rock, the only entrance being on the west side. The walls are pretty thick and stand at present about 30 feet high all round.
