046 A well known mountain range stretching from "Stob Dubh" to "Stob na Cabar" on both east & west sides there are a number of insignificant streams. On the ridge there are a number of high peaks. The most prominent being Stob na Cabar which is very rocky on east north & west sides.

046 This Forest is supposed to be one of the oldest in Scotland and local tradition asserts it to have been leased by George the Third. The property of Mrs. McDonald Edinburgh. The boundary of Forest shown in yellow - that is: on the North by the "River Coe"; on the East & South by the "River Etive"; and on the West by "Lairig Eilde.
