006 This monument stands in front of and about 100 yards from the parish church of Kilmallie. It was erected to the memory of Colonel John Cameron, eldest son of Sir Ewen Cameron of Fassfern, Baronet, whose remains lie here with those of his forefathers. He fell in the Battle of Waterloo. The monument is about 50 feet in height and is a very handsome structure.
