Transcriber's notes
Dear les972 Please stop. You are continually making basic errors when you have been advised to look at the FAQS which show how to proceed with the transcriptions. I have left numerous notes to support you which it looks like you have been ignoring. Here is the link again to the FAQShttp://www.scotlandsplaces.gov.uk/transcribe/forums/transcriptions/faqs-frequently-asked-questions
You will see on the list there are also example pages to view.
1. Please fill in the various mode of spelling, if it says ditto copy the spelling however many times it is used. I have corrected your entry on this page. Please separate the spelling onto new lines as you have done with the names.
2. Expantion of reverend goes in square brackets after the Revd ie your entry should be Revd [Reverend] . This is for all ranks and occupations. All first names get expanded without the [ ] ie Alexander. Do not leave them as the shortened entry. Compass points also get expamded in [ ]
3. Blank pages are just that... not unreadable. See p121 on how to fill those in.
4. You should also be filling out the header. See this page, I have done it for you.
Please be careful with some letters, you are putting k instead of h. Mr Mc Phail is D not W.
Please take the time to check the FAQS as they are important.
Please also visit us on the forums and ask questions, thats what we are there for, to offer help and support.
Please acknowledge you have read this.
