M.D. [Master of Arts Doctor of Medecine]) to have been planted by the Lords of the Isles who florished in Islay about the Commencement of the fourteenth Century. The Graveyard is Still in use by the inhabitants of the district & is Situated on the property of Charles Morrison Esqr. of Islay about 1 1/2 mile Southwest from Portaskaig & a Short distance North of the Village of Kiels. Sig [Signification] :- Columbo's Graveyard. The walls of the Chapel are still standing.
