072 A rugged island of about thirty acres in extent, situated in the Linn of Lorn, on the east side of Lismore, and about a half mile from Tirefoor Castle. Near the centre is a bold, rocky feature, rising gradually from the water's edge, on the east side to the height of about a 100 feet, and forming a sort of plateau on the top - the remaining sides being precipitous.
