FORT [Dùn Mòr] 171 On its summit is something resembling the foundations of a building or work of art, which Mr. Aitcheson, Land Stewart says that [it] is traditionally handed down as being [the] site of a Castle or tower. The East side is very precipitous, and the [West] is the only side that the top [can] be approached and which appears to have been the entrance, as there [are] 2 small standing stones about 3 or [4] feet high much resembling gate posts [or] at least they would indicate so as they [are] placed in a kind of slack or gap [--] accessible place to the summit.
