171 A large fort situated on an eminence partly natural. The west side is a steep, and at some parts rocky, slope, the east is wholly artificial, being composed of earth and a considerable quantity of stones. It has a gate in the east side.
"In this parish there are several of those ancient duns which are common in many parts of Argyllshire." &c &c
