211 A small rock covered at high water is situate a few chains south of Rudha Leathann. On this rock, it is said, was engraved the charter of the Macmurachies, but no trace of it can be now be found.
"Their charter (the Macmurachies) is also engraved upon a rock near the shore of these lands" Old Statistical Account.
The signification of the name is unknown.
