200 At the west end of "Sliabh Mhic Eoin Dubh," is a height which commands a very extensive view, on the top of which was a Cairn of stones used by the Danes in Signalling the alarm to the neighbouring forts, no traces of it now are visible with the exception of a little roughness of the ground where it stood. A good number of years ago the stones were removed for the erection of stone walls on the farm of Cuilghailtro; then farmed by a Mr. Hamilton W.S. [Writer to the Signet] from Edinburgh.
