011 | This was originally a very strong Chalybeate spring Well, but is now almost extinct; it is situated close to the Gas House and appears to have been famed for its medicinal properties, and has been denominated the "Physic Well". In whatever veneration it may formerly have been held, it is not now of any great repute. It is supposed to have been regarded as a Holy Well. |
