018 A Small stream which flows from a mill dam at Fram of Woodside of Laithers, and after a very rough and short course, enters the River Deveron, at the Heron Pot. It takes its name either from its being frequented by herons; or what is more probable, from the Saxon word "hyrne or hurne" a corner or mark, it forms the Parish and County boundary the whole of its course.
