061 A good modern buidling erected by Subscription, and used as a Schoolhouse & dwelling house for teacher, with garden, play ground etc. attached. The proprietor Alexander Leith Esqr. grants the site of the building and garden etc. but its is Chiefly supported by the "Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge" & the scholars fees,. the average attendance is about 45 both boys & girls. A school has been held here for upwards of 100 years
