074 | This name is applied to a large stone nearly cubical and measuring about 3 feet on each face, the following traditions are associated with it. "A stone, bearing the inscription Drum Stone, Harlaw, 1411, stands on a height upon the lands of Easter Skene. It is said that Mr. Irvine, the laird of Drum, rested on this stone, (his men drawn up in line nearby,) whilst on his march to the field of Harlaw, where he fell fighting hand to hand with McLean of Coll."
