Parish of Rayne

On the east side of the Hill of Rothmaise; and near the top of it are two large stones, not far
apart called the Crighton Stone, and the Federaught stone, which are probably commemorative
of some feud, or fatal encounter betwixt the Crighton's of Frendraught in Forgue, and the
family of Federaught in Deer. Statistical Account.

Transcriber's notes

Both stones had been demolished by 1903 according to the RCAHMS, and used for building a dyke.
