007 In a north-westerly direction from Auchiries, and rather more than a mile distant, is the mansion house of Memsie now occupied by Captain Dalrymple. According to the author of the View of the Diocese of Aberdeen, Memsie was, at the time he wrote, "the Seat of Fraser of Memsie, one of the immediate cadets of Philorth, and of three hundred years Standing."
