023 A wooden erection, standing behind the Town House, in which the supply of water for the Town is kept. The water is conveyed in pipes a distance of 3 miles or so, prior to the introduction of which a great scarcity was felt by the inhabitants, particularly in the Summer months, the wells in the neighbourhood not being adequate for their wants.
