023 Applies to a large farm Steading with dwelling house, Office houses and gardens attached situated about 2½ Miles South West from Peterhead, the property of The Governors of the Merchant Maiden Hospital Edinburgh.
This farm was formerly called Eastertown of Auchtygall but after the battle of Waterloo, the Occupier then having a son born than day he changed the name to Wellington Place and at the present time people all know it by that name, but the Factor for the Merchant Maiden Hospital calls it by the old name Eastertown of Auchtygall.
