An ornamental piece of ground situated in front of Hilton Ho. [House]: On it Sir William Johnston drilled a Regiment of Soilders, which he raised in 1798 at his own Expense, and was called "The Prince of Wales' Own". The Regiment did not serve very long, having been disbanded suddenly in 1802, for some unknown reason. |
