013 Applies to a hill situated a short distance to the east of the farm of Knappertyhillock. There is a Cairn on this hill but it is hidden from view by the wood which surrounds the summit of the hill.

013 This Cairn is situated on the summit of Knapperty Hill. There has been nothing found at this Cairn as Colonel Ferguson wont allow any person to destroy it. The east end appears to have been examined by some of the curious.

013 Mr. J Thomson assisted at the opening of this Cairn, and found it to contain a stone coffin, in which there was traces of Human bones. Dr. [Doctor] Cooper (Old Deer) says they were calcined bones.
