EBRIE BURN | The Ebrie The Ebrie The Ebrie |
The late Revd. Dr. [Reverend Doctor] Pratt, Cruden. Mr. John Anderson. Mr. John Walker |
030 | "At about a mile above Kinharrachy, the Ebrie flows into the Ythan. This stream has its source in the parish of New Deer. In its ordinary volume it is no great account; but in heavy rains, owing to the unusual declivity of the banks along its course, it swells into an imposing torrent. It has a character of its own, however: the occasional fury of its passage has worn deep holes in its channel, so that from a harmless-looking stream it sometimes proves a dangerous pitfall.
