030 This name applies to a small piece of the howe, situated on the north side of the stream south of Mains of Annochie. I cannot find out how it got its name. There was once a well near this place called the Muscle Well, though it is now run into drains.

030 Mr. Cassie of East Gibseat, says, that in the year 1862, one of his son's while ploughing this field, found two fine Stone celts, he has one just now, & the other was given to the Revd. [Reverend] Arthur Ranken, Episcopal Minister Old Deer.
