Somewhat prominent & remarkable, and of an antiquated appearance, Perhaps 'Castle' (Site of) without the prefix Oldmaud'. would be the better term, it being situated in the Den of Oldmaud and the name Mains of Oldmaud occuring a four Chains west. Tradition hath it that the Earls Marischal at one period resided here. No dates can be obtained.
