It is one of the two mentioned as being in this Parish in "Statistical Account" and in "Sculptured Stones of Scotland" - and it is not known if there were even more stones than are at present on the ground. |

[County] Map shows an object on the summit of this hill called Horseman's Cairn, this name is unknown to any one in the locality. There is no Cairn on the hill, or near it. |
