073 A small building at present undergoing repairs, is situated on the East side of the Parish of Midmar, and about a quarter of a mile due north from the parish manse, the surrounding enclosure is not used as a grave yard, but Contains, along with the church a Druidical Temple, in a good state, "The Church was built in 1787. It accommodates about 600."

073 An Artificial Mount, the new Statistical Account describes this feature as follows, and is very good "An Artificial Mount, of considerable magnitude, which is now a part of the Glebe. This Mount is evidently a work of art, A ditch or trench, that is back round it, is now covered with grass, from the bottom of which to the summit, the perpendicular height is about 30 feet, the Middle part of the summit contains a Cavity, with a small circular rising in its centre. Here tradition reports that Criminals were tried and justice administered " the foregoing embraces all that can be known." "Coningar" is its Modern name
