029 a well known old name of sloping ground at present under plantation, and is sometimes known by the "Woods of Haddo". bounded on the West by the farm of Blairfowl on the Fyvie & Methlic Parish boundary and at the foot or in the north by the River ythan opposite the Braes of Gight, and extends downward, along the river for about 2 miles The lower portion of which viz. near Methlic village is also known by the Braes of Wardford * proprietor The Earl of Aberdeen *modernly better known by the name 'Polesburn Wood'
