069 Issues from springs a little south of a peat road and abt [about] 34 chains E.S.E. [East South East] of the Summit of the Hill of Allamuck and after some windings enters the Deskry a little below Chapelton Mr Anderson Gamekeeper of property having supplied me with the derivation namely "Bad-an-sean-each" viz Burn of the Old Horse's Tuft. Near the Source is a stripe of fine green pasture surrounded with heath, which, it is said to be the Badan or Tuft. It is said also to be the proper orthography of a small Farm a little S.W. [South West] of its Conflux with the water of Deskry.
