012 | A small village situate on a slight eminence at the East end of the Parish, and consists of one Main Street and a small Street or Lane, and a Square, at the north end of Main Street. An Established Church with School, Free Church with School, a receiving office for letters in the Turriff District a few small merchants shops, and two Public Houses. The houses are for the most part small. It belongs to BC Urquhart Esqr. of Meldrum This part of the parish was formed into a Quod Sacra in 1866. It also includes a portion of Abourdour and New Deer. |
