026 A large Rock on the west Side of the Boddum hill. The name appears to have been corrupted from the Galic; Cloch (or Clach) which Signifies Stone. The remainder of the name which must be a little more corrupted, Sounds something like nose; which is very common in the Galic language to say the nose Stone, rock, cairn, or the nose of the hill.
There was a ford & stepping stones in the Deveron here not long since Gailic Clacharan or Cloichirean, Stepping Stones
