025 A pretty large Stream which rises near the end of the Long Hill. It's course is of a North easterly direction until it is joined by the Burn of Craigentrindy after which it is called the Glen Burn.

025 A large Stone by the Side of Gordon's Burn, about 20 chains north west of the Steading of Backstripes. Local tradition "Says, one of the late Dukes of Gordon sold a piece of land to a man named Caddle but refused to Sign the Charter, The latter having told the Duke of a peculiar kind of Deer being about the Long Hill Succeeded in persuading him to go and See the Deer. On their way to the Long Hill they sat to rest on this stone, So Caddle taking advantage of his position told him to sign the charter or die. The Charter was signed and each went his own way.
