026 | A Tumulus of no great height in Cultivation situated on what was once the farm of Causewayend and about 5 chains from a drain which divides the Parish of Huntly from the parish of Drumblade. It is one of four Tumuli the other three being in the above named parish King Robert Bruce encamped in this Vicinity and it is conjectured those Tumuli were raised by Bruce Army as posts of communication for his soldiers One of them was examined lately and there was every appearance of its being artificial |
