025 A small heath covered hill, lying south west of the Clashmach, and nearly the same height. Limestone is part of its formation, as a large Quarry of the above stone ( a short distance to the north east) was in operation a few years ago. The name Kye, is a Scotch term for cows. It originated from its being a favourite grazing place of the cows belonging to the surrounding farms.
