033 A small cairn of stones, where the Boundry of the Parishes Huntly, and Gartly, and Glass come together. It is said to have taken the name from one of the Earl of Fife's Factors named Rose who was present when the Stones were put up, and said to others who were with him, to bear in mind, that this was to be called Rose Cairn. Since then it has been so called.

033 A small cairn of stones a short distance east of Rose cairn pointing out the place where a man named Smart droped down dead while travelling, accompanied by his wife, between Huntly and the Cabrach to Which he belonged.
