[Note relating to 'Kirk Hill'] - "Altho' there be two different places in the parish called Kirkhill, one in Turnerhall's interest, and the other in Ellon's, yet no vestige of a place of worship can be found; only in the land of Esselmont, on the Chapeltoune, there are the ruins of ane Chapell but nothing remarkable about it.
