085 On the east wing of this building [Drum Castle] stands the, "Tower of Drum", a tower of great dimensions and strength, It is of an oblong form being 50 feet 6 inches by 39 feet at the base, and 70 feet 6 inches in height, The date of its erection cannot be ascertained, but it is supposed to have been built in the 12th Century. Property & principal residence of Mr Irvine.
