026 A large farm steading partly in ruins situated about half a mile south of the Meet Hillock Bruce is said to have been lying ill at this place during the time that the Battle of Slioch was being fought he was cured by drinking the waters of a chalybeate spring close to Slioch. A market was held here about 20 years ago, but is now held in Huntly. The farm steading is about to be re-erected shortly.
