The parish of Coull contains about 9052 Statute acres and is bounded on the north by the parish Leochel Cushnie; on the east by the parish of Lumphanan; on the south by the parish of Aboyne and Glentanner; and on the west, by the parishes of Logie Coldstone, and Tarland and Migvie (Proper). The general character of the soil is good; a fine loam, in some fields of great depth, and lying on an often gravelly subsoil. The climate is good, the air pure, and the grain crops are generally as early as any in this county.
