075 A beautiful Structure in the Medieval or Gothic style, erected by subscription in 1863. but owing to the tenets and observances of Dr. [Doctor] F G Lee, (who by his extertions and assiduity began and completed this building) The Bishop of the Diocese, differing somewhat in his opinions, refused to Consecrate or formally open the Church. The Revd. [Reverend] Frederick George Lee soon being obligated to resign his charge and leave this place the building was sold. but afterwards becoming the property of the Episcopal Church society a few months ago, it was opened and the Revd. [Reverend] W. A Smith B..A. [Bachelor of Arts] temporary appointed Minister The Building will accommodate about 500 hearers. and half of the seats are free.
