I William Brunton Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon Careful examination of
the foregoing Several dutys I find they amount in Whole to the Sum of Six
Shillings and Eight pence sterg. [Sterling] And that upon the 25 day of Sep [1786] I delivered to
Andrew Brown Collector of the Said dutys for the Burgh aforesaid an
Exact Duplicate of the above accounts examined and Compared with the foregoing
which Contained my oath that the Notices were left with the Several Inhabitants or at their dwelling
houses that they are liable in the Sums Set against their Several Names
