Surcharge of the MALE SERVANTS TAX in the Burgh of Annan
from the 5 of April 1787 to 5th April 1788 by me William Currie Surveyor

I William Currie Surveyor aforesaid hereby Certify that foregoing Surcharge amounts to
two pounds ten shillings Stg [Sterling] that on the first of March Cur [Current] I sent to Mr John Irvine Coll [Collector]
in Annan an Exact note of the above which contained my Oath that the informed John Garthwaite
was duly Surcharged with one Male Servant of the late a foresaid he having made no
answer to a requisition formerly delivered to him by me [signed] William Currie Surveyor
