A Survey of the MALE SERVANTS TAX in the Burgh of
Jedburgh from the 5 of April 1786 to the 5 of April 1787 By William Brunton Surveyor

I William Brunton Surveyor do hereby Certify that upon Carefull Examination of the forgoing Several Rates and Dutys I find
they Amount in Whole to the Sum of Three Pounds Fifteen Shillings Ster [Sterling] and that upon the 26 day of Sept. [September]
I delivered to James Blak Collector of the Said dutys for the Shire aforesaid an Exact duplicate of the above
Accounts examined and Compared with the forgoing Which Contained my Oath that Requisitions were left with the Several
Gentelmen And that they are liable in the Sums Set Against their Several names.
