I James Allan Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify That upon Examination of the foregoing dutie I find its
Amount to be Eighteen Shillings & Nine pence Sterg [Sterling] & that upon the 23rd Current I delivered to Mr William [Napier]
in Linlithgow Collector of the said dutie for the Borough Aforesaid an exact duplicate of the Above Account
duly examined & compared with the foregoing which contained my Oath that a Notice was left with the [foregoing]
Inhabitant or at his Dwelling House of the date annexed to his Name that he was chargeable with the
Sum set against his name certified to be due from him
