Jedburgh from the 5th of July 1785 to 5 of April 1786 by William Brunton Surveyor
4 Servants at £0.18.9 ea [each] for ¾ of an Year is £3.15.0 Stg [Sterling]
I William Brunton Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify that upon careful
Examination of the foregoing Several Rates and Duties I find they amount in whole
to £3.15.0 Stg [Sterling] And that upon the 18th of March I Sent by Post to James Black Collector
of the said Duties for the Shire aforesaid an exact duplicate of the above Acct. [Account] duly
examined & Compared with the foregoing And I do make Oath that the above is
a just List returned by the Several Inhabitants when requisition were made by
me of the duties aforesaid
