I William Hogg Surveyor of Taxes Do Hereby Certify that upon Carefull Examination of the Foregoing
Account of Rates & Dutys Arrising on Male Servants in the Brugh of Dunbar I find the Amount to
be Five Pounds Five Shillings Sterling And that upon the 1st day of December 1785 I delivered to Mr John
Tait Collector of said Dutys an Exact Duplicate of the Foregoing duly Examined & Compared
& which Contained my Oath that the Foregoing Inhabitants were served with Requisition on the date
aforesaid And that the Assessment was made from their Returns & now in my Possession
