[Page] 65A Survey of the Rates and Duties, On Servants Arisen in the
Burgh of Tain from 25th March 1778 to 25th March 1779

I Hugh MacFarquhar Surveyor Aforesaid Do hereby Certify that upon carefull
examination of the foregoing Rates & duties, I find they Amount in Whole to Three
pounds three Shillings Sterling. That the foregoing list of Servants, bearing their
diffrent names & Occupations, Signed by their masters, in terms of the Act of
Parliament, were deliverd to me, And that upon the Seventh day of July
current I deliverd to Baillie George Miller Collector of Said Duties for the
Burgh aforesaid, An exact Duplicate of the Above Acct. [account] duely examined & compared
with the foregoing, which contained my Oath that I made a request & that the
Above lists were returned.
